Interstate travel could be on the cards for talented but anxious Globe, set to resume in the Group 3 Victoria Handicap (1400m) on Saturday at Caulfield.
The lightly-raced Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr-trained six-year-old Globe has won five of 10 starts.
“He’ll take the run I would think and then we’re probably looking north for him somewhere,” Kent Jr said.
“I’m not sure where yet, but he loves getting his toe into the ground, maybe there’s a country cup in NSW? Maybe he gets to Brisbane? I’m not sure yet. We’ll just play it race by race.
“He’s (Globe) as genuine as the sky is blue … we got to be optimistic that if we get him back in really good form, I think he’s come back better than last prep, we can have some fun with him.
“We’ll see where he takes us.”

Excitable Globe raced consistently last spring, fourth in the Group 3 Moonga Stakes first-up and then second in the Listed Chester Manifold Stakes before a Listed Cranbourne Cup triumph.
He fought hard to then place third in the Listed Ballarat Cup before an earned six-week break.
Globe will be joined in the Victoria Handicap by popular stablemate-turned-companion Ayrton.
Ayrton, the 2022 Victoria Handicap winner, chaperoned Globe to Sandown last week for a nerve-settling preparatory gallop and mock race day experience.
The pair will tune up together again on Tuesday at Cranbourne.
“He’s a very, very high energy (Globe), a free sweater,” Kent Jr said.
“He got a bit pent up before he got out on the track (last Wednesday), he goes out there, has a nice bowl around on the bridle and comes back and goes ‘it wasn’t too bad’.
“Jockeys Ethan (Brown on Globe) and Jye (McNeil on Ayrton) rode them perfectly, that should really bring them on.”

Ayrton is second-up on Saturday after going into the Group 3 Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap (1400m) “a bit underdone” and raced accordingly after he went forward on a “warm speed and punctured late”.
“A month between runs (now) he’s much more forward, he loves Caulfield,” Kent Jr said.
“He’s won this race before, two years ago, the thing with him is if he finds his best (he wins).
“He’s going very well, action, enthusiasm for work. It’s all super with him and then on race day, he’s an older horse now, like all of us, things start to be a little bit harder but he’s in magnificent order.”

Ayrton had reason to fatigue last start after a year off the scene.
“We can’t be too hard on him, we want these races to bring him on,” Kent Jr said.
“He rode that warm speed and tired late, so I think he’ll present much better, if we get perfect luck in running in the Victoria Handicap then we’ll really see exactly where we’re at.”
