The Ciaron Maher-trained Berkshire Breeze is the early favourite to book a Melbourne Cup berth with a win in Saturday’s Listed Andrew Ramsden at Flemington.

Berkshire Breeze raced without success in last year’s Caulfield Cup but is a $6 chance to qualify for the Melbourne Cup in Saturday’s $300,000 feature.

Berkshire Breeze is one of seven Maher-trained entries for the Andrew Ramsden along with the likes of the recent Warrnambool Cup winner Smokin’ Romans and Hobart Cup winner Strawberry Rock.
