KEMBLA INSIDE MAIL
Vieri was a little green on debut and copped a bump from eventual winner Deconstruction near the 200m but battled away well for third at Wyong over 1200m on Sept 1. Was five weeks to his next run when a close second to Alce Mae at Newcastle over 1500m. Kazotsky ran well on debut when third to Master Riley who has won again since. Also five weeks between runs when third here on Oct 3. Will be better for the run. Top Secret will be better for his debut fourth to Rolling Magic at Newcastle.
Bet: Vieri to win
Audenzia trialled nicely at Nowra and followed it up with a nose second to odds-on favourite Wexford Miss when resuming on a heavy track here on Sept 28. The trial was on good ground which he gets here. Dame Commander led and finished a length-and-a-half third in that same race at her debut. Will be better for the run. Celtic Sin sat very wide and worked through the line when third to Alinea in her Warwick Farm trial on Sept 13.
Bet: Audenzia each-way
Admitted led all the way on debut from Dublin Down at Bendigo before finishing down the track in the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate. Returns as a gelding and has been good in both trials. Bronco Revolution resumes here and has a win and a third from his two first-up runs. Prima Bella followed up her strong trial form with an all-the-way debut win from In Flight at Wyong last November. Was third in her latest trial at Newcastle to Midnight Opal who was ridden along to score.
Bet: Admitted to win
Smashing Time was very good in his first campaign with a win here at home in between two third placings on the Kensington before heading to Queensland. He finished under three lengths from Broadsiding in the Sires’ Produce and was last to him in the JJ Atkins. Back from a spell and can kick off with a win. His stablemate Invade And Conquer finally broke through for his first win over 1400m here on Sept 14. Has a 3kg claim and race fitness of his side. Sunrise is improving with each run.
Bet: Smashing Time to win
Fair Maiden was a shade slow away then pushed up to lead before finishing seventh to the swooping Depth Of Character on debut at Canterbury back in May. Only beaten one home but was just two lengths from the winner and was a length off second. Glitterscript narrowly missed breaking her maiden when beaten a neck by Maili at Canterbury on June 10. Will run well first-up. Bertus needs a few scratchings to get a run but he was good first-up and worth consideration.
Bet: Fair Maiden to win
Reasonable gets his chance to break through. Resumed from a spell with a second to the promising Harry’s Bar at Canterbury before battling away for third to Dominetta and Tango Queen at Warwick Farm on Sept 25. Monte Braveheart drifted back from barrier one before working home nearest the fence as the field came wide of the bend when fifth to Hellaine on a Heavy 8 here first-up on Sept 27 Squeezebox and Bertus have claims.
Bet: Reasonable to win
King Of Thunder was good placing at his first two starts before breaking through third-up. Rolled straight to the front and dashed away in the straight to score by 5½ lengths over this track and distance on Aug 31. Wasn’t knocked about in his trial won impressively by Iknowastar. Empress Of Japan was okay behind Snow In May first-up and good when third to Interjection. Ready to peak. Piplup resumes from her ninth in the ATC Oaks. Can run well first-up.
Bet: King Of Thunder to win
Rock Revolution was slow out and settled fourth of the five runners but was doing his best work on the line when third to Dashing Rupert over 1000m on debut at Goulburn. Made no mistake when he led from the inside gate and raced away to score by two lengths from Century Song over 1200m here last start. Invincible Emma closed strongly to beat Jawharat Dubai on debut at Newcastle in May. Manhattan’s is racing well and will make her presence felt again.
Bet: Rock Revolution to win
