QUADZILLA

LEG 1: RACE 5
Need to allow for a couple of dual acceptors in the first leg of the Sandown quaddie. ALDOLFITO (3) is a chance first-up while HARPALEE (4) should be respected dropping back from stakes company here. DUROVA (10) and WINNASEDGE (11) were both last-start maiden winners that could continue to progress.
1ST LEG: 3, 4, 10, 11

LEG 2: RACE 6
A big field to go around in the second leg of the quaddie. EL SOLEADO (8) is the top pick and will add some value if he happens to get the chocolates in this. MURAMASA (2) must be included after his terrific first-up second at The Valley while BERKELEY SQUARE (5) will be fitter for a brave Flemington win second-up. ARAMCO (13) is also an acceptor for the Benalla Cup but is going well enough to warrant inclusion.
2ND LEG: 2, 5, 8, 13

LEG 3: RACE 7
DESERT LIGHTNING
(1) is the top pick in the Sandown Stakes after an excellent first-up run at The Valley in which he raced wide and boxed on well under 61kg. CHRYSAOR (4) and NICOLINI VITO (5) come out of the same race at Flemington and both will be suited over a little more ground at Sandown. CRAIG (11) is the up and comer of the field and could handle the class rise.
3RD LEG: 1, 4, 5, 11

LEG 4: RACE 8
Plenty of chances in the last, especially after the barrier draw but PROWLING (13) and VERDAD (8) look well placed to fight out the finish, despite the latter drawing wide. CONQUEROR (12) will be fitter for two runs this time in and will be better for those outings while he races well over 1400m. MODOWN (18) rises in class but ran on well at Sale first-up and was competitive in stakes company as a three-year-old.
4TH LEG: 8, 12, 13, 18

SANDOWN QUADDIE
Race 5: 3, 4, 10, 11
Race 6: 2, 5, 8, 13
Race 7: 1, 4, 5, 11
Race 8: 8, 12, 13, 18

SKINNY QUADDIE
The bigger fields make the skinny quaddie a touch difficult but starting off with HARPALEE (4), WINNASEDGE (11) and ALDOLFITO (3). Trimming the second leg back to three runners with BERKELEY SQUARE (5), EL SOLEADO (8) and ARAMCO (13) to do the job. Going one-out with DESERT LIGHTNING (1) in the third leg while VERDAD (8), CONQUEROR (12) and PROWLING (13) can bring it home.

SANDOWN SKINNY QUADDIE
Race 5: 3, 4, 11
Race 6: 5, 8, 13
Race 7: 1
Race 8: 8, 12, 13

FOUR-PLAY: $200 BETTING STRATEGY FOR SANDOWN HILLSIDE

RACE 1: SPORTSBET PHOTO FINISH REFUND HANDICAP (1400m)
$50 WIN CHEWING GUM (3) at $3
CHEWING GUM (3) produced a slick turn of foot when sprinting home to score on debut at Geelong and she’ll be further improved. The Lindsay Park team has drawn to have every hope and carrying 55kg after Celine Gaudray’s claim will make her harder to beat.

RACE 3: SPORTSBET FEED HANDICAP (1400m)
$25 EACH-WAY WALK OF FAME (6) at $12/$3.60
WALK OF FAME was only run down late by the promising ZLOTIES when the pair clashed at Sandown earlier this month but meets her 2.5kg better at the weights. Walk Of Fame has drawn beautifully and good or soft ground won’t worry her at all.

RACE 7: GROUP 3 SPORTSBET SANDOWN STAKES (1500m)
$50 WIN DESERT LIGHTNING (1) at $5.50
Desert Lightning made a great start to his time with trainers Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman when a fighting third at The Valley after racing wide under 61kg. He will only be improved and his terrific New Zealand form makes him hard to beat.

RACE 8: IVE> HANDICAP (1400m)
$25 EACH-WAY PROWLING (13) at $9/$3
PROWLING (13) could be ready to fire after three run back from a spell in which he has steadily improved. He was beaten less than a length at his last run and should be thereabouts again despite stepping up a level in class.
