BEST BET
NADAL (Race 7 No. 6 – $3.50)
Pushed into the breeze before fading late when not disgraced first-up. He’ll be much fitter for that and can improve sharply.
NEXT BEST
GOLD WOLF (Race 3 No. 2 – $13)
Improved when not far away when up to 2000m second-up and he’ll be fitter again on Wednesday. The 2400m will be perfect.
KINGSWOOD (Race 8 No. 8 – $3.60)
Made the perfect start to life with the Gavin Bedggood stable at Sandown last month. He can handle a class rise at Caulfield.
VALUE BET
STAUNCH (Race 1 No. 10 – $15)
Chased well behind the promising Kingswood at Sandown. He won over 2000m two runs back and should go well again.
THE JOCKEY
CRAIG WILLIAMS
Fresh off an outstanding Caulfield Guineas day, Craig Williams heads back to Caulfield for five rides on Wednesday. ALMAIRAC (Race 1 No. 4 – $12), FIGHTING ARROW (Race 3 No. 6 – $9), BUBION (Race 4 No. 9 – $15), FLYING ON A LIMB (Race 7 No. 12 – $10), TOO CLOSE THE SUN (Race 8 No. 5 – $9)
