INSIDE MAIL - KENSINGTON
RACE 1
Queen Of Dragons was slow into stride and settled second last before battling away to the line for fifth behind Aditi when resuming at Warwick Farm on Sept 20. Was second to Militarize second-up in her first campaign and a length-and-a-half sixth to Namesake second-up last time in. Primo settled three back on the rails and his last 50m was the best part of his run when hitting the line strongly to finish a length-and-a-half fourth to Lugh over 1200m on debut at Kembla. Step up to 1400 looks ideal. Miss Reilly had to be eased when looking for a slip in the straight when second (dead-heat) to Left Field on debut at Newcastle.
Bet: Queen Of Dragons to win
RACE 2
Iknowastar ran a handy fourth when resuming at Canterbury before heading to the bush and scoring back-to-back wins in the Mudgee and Dubbo Cups. Drops back from 1600m to 1400m. Baltic Coast resumes here and has a win and two seconds from three first-up runs and is a winner at this trip. Cognac will be improved by his first-up fifth at Warwick Farm over 1300m. Has a win and a second from two starts this track. Hollywood Hero has placed runner-up in three of his last five starts including in the Bathurst Cup last time out. He is dropping back from 1800m to 1400m though.
Bet: Iknowastar to win
RACE 3
Aditi crossed from the outside gate to lead easily and she dashed away off the bend to score her maiden win by over three lengths when resuming at Warwick Farm on Sept 20. Drawn gate two this time and can go back-to-back. Lomandra was taken back to last from a wide gate and found the line well late to finish fourth behind all-the-way winner Sweet Baby Boom at Canterbury three weeks ago. Drawn to settle closer. Greece sat third and finished there in the same race when resuming. Should take benefit from the run and blinkers go on. City Of Lights is Winx’s little sister first-up for the Joe Pride stable. Won her only start over 1418m at Geelong in June.
Bet: Aditi to win
RACE 4
Sweet Baby Boom derived great benefit from her first-up fourth after more than 15 months between when she won at this track on Aug 23 and she was even better again third-up when a big winner over Tashi. Drawn to lead again drops to 56kg after the claim. Avebury was back and wide when down the track behind Waverider Buoy when resuming at Randwick on Sept 2. Won a Hawkesbury trial nine days later and was much better second-up when a close third to Rise of The Masses at Warwick Farm after tracking the leaders. Drawn to get a similar run. Street Gossip was a safely held fourth when resuming in that same race and will be better for the run.
Bet: Sweet Baby Boom to win
RACE 5
Stromboli resumed from a spell at this track as a gelding and after being held up until approaching the 300m, sprinted quickly to defeat Atlantic Ocean. Stepped up to Saturday grade a month later when a close third to Garza Blanca at Randwick on Sept 2. Unbeaten this track and ready to win again. Capo Strada resumes here and has won two of his four wins first-up. Has been good in both his recent trials, the latest a second to Vegas Raider at Warwick Farm when never let off the bit. Ka Bling was caught three-deep without cover midfield and was beaten two and a half lengths by Diamond Dealer when resuming in a Bm88 at Rosehill on Aug 26. Given plenty of time to bounce back from the run and can bounce back from a good gate.
Bet: Stromboli to win
RACE 6
Rhythm Of Love returned from a spell with a smart win first-up at Kembla before a three-quarter length second to race favourite Balkans at Warwick Farm two weeks ago. Drawn to get the ideal run and will be very hard to beat. Body Bob has been perfect since joining Pat Murphy’s stable, winning all three starts and making good progression each time. Stepped up to midweek grade after two country wins and was dominant in scoring at Canterbury last start. Flycatcher won his maiden on debut at Bendigo then, after stepping slowly, came from last at Sandown-Lakeside on Aug 23 when beaten three lengths by Speak Now. Easy trial at Warwick Farm last week.
Bet: Rhythm Of Love to win
RACE 7
Mural Crown was caught out three-wide without cover from the outside gate before finishing a long neck third to stablemate Los Padres at Hawkesbury last start. Scored a nice win on debut over 1200m at Canterbury on July 26. Drawn better and can bounce back. Betsy’s Flag raced with cover and running on well for a half-length second to Ballroom Bella over 1100m back at Hawkesbury two weeks ago. Steps up to 1250m for the first time but the way she hit the line last start suggests she will handle it. Fightertown resumed as a gelding and broke his maiden in a BM64 at Warwick Farm on Aug 30. Drawn out but a definite chance again.
Bet: Mural Crown to win
