BEST BET

Race 7 No.8: KONASANA

A winner of his only start on the Kensington track last prep, he should win again. The 1400m looks ideal.

Race 1 No.9: BROADCASTER

Scratched from Wednesday in favour of this. She was unlucky when third at her last visit to Hawkesbury.

VALUE BET

Race 2 No.7: STEEL BLAZE

Got the maiden out of the way last time. Out of former Group 1 placed stayer Aliyana Tilde, he should relish getting out to the mile.

Race 5: 4,5

Race 6: 6,8,9,11

LISMORE

BEST BET

Race 5 No.8: BERTINELLI

The Matthew Dunn-trained galloper only just missed in her first run back from a spell and can go one better here.

NEXT BEST

Race 3 No.4: BEEF WEEK PRINCESS

A three-time winner already on home turf, she can add to that record as she steps up over a suitable trip

VALUE BET

Race 4 No.9: AWESOME MISS

Only found one better last time at Kempsey. She gets in really well with 53.5kg after Zac Wadick’s claim.

BEST EXOTIC

INSIDE MAIL: HAWKESBURY

RACE 1

Broadcaster was scratched from Randwick’s Kensington meeting on Wednesday for this easier assignment. She still strikes a competitive affair here but performed well at the same track and trip in her only start to date when third on August 17. She didn’t have the clearest running in that event and with even luck here she can break the maiden. Stablemate There There has only missed the placings once in six starts so is a consistent type. She will win one of these eventually but would have to give 4.5kg to her stablemate. Marenaro has been given a freshen up since missing the placings in Saturday grade last time but can run well.

Bet: Broadcaster to win.

RACE 2

Steel Blaze is a son of Real Steel out of Group 1 Australian Oaks and Sydney Cup placegetter Aliyana Tilde so you‘d think he will relish getting out to a mile. The Brett Lazzarini-trained galloper got his maiden out of the way with a grinding effort over 1400m at Kembla Grange last time. He can double the dose here. Ganbare will likely start favourite after only finishing a length off Kintyre in Saturday grade last start. He’s trialled up really well since. Long Genes only needs to replicate his recent strong win at this venue to be competitive again.

Bet: Steel Blaze to win.

RACE 3

Cosmic Lad is a first starter out of former Cox Plate winner Adelaide that will only need to cross the road for his debut. The local galloper has had two trials to prepare for his debut, doing more than enough to finish a narrow second in his most recent effort over 740m on the synthetic. He strikes a very winnable affair. Mr Papera boasts the best record in this race with five placings from nine starts. He hasn‘t been far away at his past three and need only run up to that. Criminal Art should have won last start at Moruya and gets his chance here.

Bet: Cosmic Lad to win.

RACE 4

Royal Tribute will likely start odds-on and should be winning. It took the highly talented Ozzmosis to beat him in his only race start at Rosehill Gardens in June. He‘s won both of his trials in the lead up to his return and his early speed should make barrier 13 no issue. Seton Hall found one better in both of his first preparation starts but only went down by the slenderest of margins. He’s a danger if he can find cover from a tricky gate. Laser Beam is debuting for a new yard in Joseph Pride and looks forward enough in recent trial efforts.

Bet: Royal Tribute to win. Trifecta 12 (standout) from 6,10,11

RACE 5

Celestial Fury is racing in top form and strikes another winnable affair. The Nathan Doyle-trained gelding followed up a pair of seconds with a comfortable win over 2100m at Gosford last time. He goes up 2.5kg from that performance but has carried similar weight to win before. Golden Passport should be ready to peak third up to 2000m now. He should go forward and take running down if he gets it easy in front. Mr Bond does his best work over 2000m and has winning claims again on home turf.

Bet: Celestial Fury to win.

RACE 6

Missouk returns from a spell after a 21-week break. The daughter of Pride Of Dubai went down to the classy Dipsy Doodle at her only race start over 1100m at Warwick Farm in April but acquitted herself well. She‘s trialled up well and should get every chance to run a big race from barrier five. Kostroma is having her first start and has certainly looked the part in both of her barrier trials. It would be prudent to watch betting moves. Ditto Gold Dust. She’s trialled up nicely and gets an excellent draw one inside the top pick.

Bet: Missouk to win.

RACE 7

Konasana brings an unbeaten record to Hawkesbury and expecting him to leave with that intact. The Chris Waller-trained colt got up in his final stride to win over 1150m at the Kensington track in June before being a brief freshen up. As a son of Dundeel, you‘d expect he will only get better over 1400m. Crazy Russian got the maiden out of the way two back at Hawkesbury before failing to flatter last start when he overraced. He can bounce back. Serene Nic has a win and a placing from five starts and gets in with the light weight of 54kg after the claim.

Bet: Konasana to win.

RACE 8

Linguee is third-up now and ready to peak. She was only beaten half a length in a Gosford 1200m event last time and should strip fitter for the experience. She should get a nice run behind the speed and feature strongly late. Egyptian Tycoon has a wide draw but plenty of ability. The dry track should help his chances after finishing close up in third at Gosford last time. Fludway was tested in stakes grade as a two-year-old but should find this Benchmark 64 much easier. He can win if he can overcome a tricky gate.

Bet: Linguee to win.
