Race 1 - 2YO Maiden Plate (1000m)
MISS LEANA (8) is out of a mare that won two races and has been a good producer. She trialled soundly, a tongue-tie goes on and Jace McMurray won’t be afraid to go forward.
READY AND MABEL (9) was sharp in her trial and her dam was a useful race mare. From a good gate she will be prominent for a long way.
KING OF GERALDINE (1) is poorly drawn but her trials have been sound and Georgina Cartwright will take no prisoners.
Blinkers go on OKANUI (2) which is resuming after not figuring in Saturday grade at his only outings. Experience counts and he can show up in this field.
Verdict - Watch market, expecting MISS LEANA (7) to race well.

Race 2 – 2YO Maiden Plate (1000m)
Tony Gollan is an ex-Toowoomba boy and has brought MAKING NEWS (7) here after placing in Saturday grade on debut. With Angela Jones she will be hard to beat.
SWEET HESITATION (9) is out of a good producer and the full-brother is a winner. With winkers and a crossover noseband, Bailey Wheeler will have her ready to go.
UP OVER‘N’ GONE (4) was a late scratching after being kicked at the gates at Ipswich. His dam has produced some useful ones and he can show up fresh.
PINK VIXEN (8) won her trial here and her dam was a useful racemare. The gate tests but she has speed and Georgina Cartwright knows what to do.
Verdict - MAKING NEWS (7) is perfectlyu placed coming back from Saturday city grade.

Race 3 - Maiden Handicap (870m)
A flutter, and the one knocking on the door is DATA LEAK (1) which has found one better at his past three outings. He was a well-beaten runner-up over this trip three starts back when resuming but with Angela Jones from gate one has the speed to make amends.
Winkers replace blinkers on PLEA (7) which trials better than he races and is now having his second start for Mark Currie. An expensive yearling out of a Group 3 placed mare he failed to deliver for his original owners but a good gate helps and he will be prominent for a long way
All the gear comes off MASTER MYAGI (4) which has been trying for a while and is on his fourth trainer. His recent trial was sound and this may not be beyond him.
HUKA FALLS (2) has a history of respiratory issues but placed in a Canterbury Maiden two starts back and that form is good enough for this.
Verdict - DATA LEAK (1) is overdue and this looks suitable.

Race 4 - Maiden Handicap (1300m)
BRUTAL SUE (9) showed improvement last start and will appreciate this trip. A good gate helps and few ride this track better than Nozi Tomizawa.
SILVER AGENT (14) needs scratchings to get a run but has been improved by three outings and this trip suits. He will give a start but Kyle Wilson-Taylor can round them up.
DARLING TAKE CARE (11) was never in it at Ipswich but beat all but the winner at Ballina two starts back over this trip. A repeat of that has her in the finish.
A half-million-dollar yearling by I Am Invincible out of a Group 3 winning mare that has been a good producer, SUMICH (4) was gelded and moved on before he had a start. He did nothing on debut but has a pedigree and could improve.
Verdict - BRUTAL SUE (9) on top in a raffle.

Race 5 - Class 1 and Maiden Plate (2150m)
SO YOU ARE (13) is a three-year-old maiden which has placed at both outings just missing at Grafton over 1560m last start and may have more upside than these. Out of a mare that won twice over 1800m and with a grand dam that won the Queens Cup over 3200m, he gets to the right journey, drops 2.5kg and may just be better than these.
LUPINE (5) is better for three outings with Mark Currie and gets to the right trip. He wasn’t disgraced after a wide run in a much stronger Class 1 than this last start, gets a crossover noseband and with a positive ride from Bailey Wheeler will be hard to hold out.
Blinkers go on JORUM (10) which has been around the mark at recent outings and wasn’t far away at Dalby last start. His only win was here and with Angela Jones will get every opportunity
THEBARBEROFSEVLLE (7) beat LUPINE (5) home two starts back and whacked away at Ipswich last start. The trip poses some concerns but his dam won over 1800m and this may not be beyond him.
Verdict - SO YOU ARE (13) can gets his chance.

Race 6 - Benchmark 62 Handicap (1625m)
ARCHER’S GAME (2) hasn’t put in a bad one since resuming winning twice and beat a stronger field than this at Doomben last start. Three of his five wins have been here, Kelsey Lenton’s 3kg claim helps and he will be hard to hold out.
CONNEWARRE (3) was scratched at Ipswich due to a wet track but will find conditions more to his liking here. This trip is his limit but now third-up he showed has come back in good order winning convincingly at Rockhampton last start. He has a good record here and will finish off for Olivia Kendal.
HARMONY REIGNS (9) doesn’t win out of turn but showed improvement at Beaudesert last start and is suited in this class. Jai Williams stays on and from gate four will get the gun run.
ROMAN HEIR (11) is another that doesn’t win often but won his only previous start at this trip here. He has placed at both outings since resuming, drops 1kg and won’t be far away in running.
Verdict - ARCHER’S GAME (2) has form on the board.

Race 7 - Benchmark 58 Handicap (1300m)
All the gear comes off VORACIOUS (4) which is having his first start for Tony Gollan. Longer may be better but was dominant in a recent trial and his Victorian form is good enough for this. He wasn’t far off the placings in a Listed race not long ago and with Angela Jones has a class edge on these.
EARL OF DEVON (5) was only run down late when resuming from a long break and having his first start for Mark Currie. Bailey Wheeler replaces Shana Willis and from the wide gate a positive ride is expected.
TOUCH OF GRACIE (6) will appreciate a return to her favourite track after two moderate efforts at the Sunshine Coast. She won her only previous start here and will get all the favours with Kyle Wilson-Taylor.
CRYPTIC SOUND (10) finally got the Maiden out of the way at Warwick. This is harder but she rarely runs poorly and draws to do no work with Justin Stanley.
Verdict - VORACIOUS (4) has the class to get it done.

Race 8 - Benchmark 58 Handicap (1300m)
BURNETT (8) has looked a useful type since coming North to join the Gerans. She hasn’t been far away in stronger company at her past two outings and with Kyle Wilson-Taylor gets a chance to notch up another win.
SILVER CITY (2) was never on the track at Warwick. Now having his third outing since joining Mark Currie he will appreciate Liv O’Donnell’s 3kg claim and can make his presence felt.
ALONTRO (12) knows how to put in an ordinary one but has shown improvement since joining Rex Lipp. This company suits and he will get all the favours with Justin Stanley.
The lightly raced MYSTERY POWER (6) has come back in good order and whilst this trip may test Cobi Vitler’s 3kg claim helps. He has speed and will give a sight.
Verdict - BURNETT (8) is suited this class and distance.

Race 9 - Benchmark 62 Handicap (1000m)
Some handy ones resuming but fitness counts and Lindsay Hatch has a good hand with RUSSIAN MINT (2) which was dominant at Dalby. He has won twice here previously and with Cobi Vitler’s 3kg claim be hard to pass
The stablemate UCHI (5) has won three of five and is resuming with winkers replacing blinkers. When last here he won first-up over 870m and with 2kg claimer Ron Thorburn won’t be far away in running.
REIGNING ALPHA (8) goes best when fresh and won a recent trial. The gate tests but he has upside and 3kg claimer Dylan Bennett won’t die wondering.
KEYBOARD (11) disappointed at Warwick but will appreciate a stronger rider in Kyle Wilson-Taylor and from gate one there will be no excuses
Verdict - A Lindsay Hatch quinella with RUSSIAN MINT (2) on top.

Race 10 - Benchmark 70 Handicap (1200m)
SUPER QUICK (7) has been racing consistently and goes best at this track. Justin Stanley stays on and can overcome the wide draw.
GROOVIN’ THE MOO (1) brings Saturday form just missing in a Saturday No Metro Wins Handicap last start. He has won both previous outings here and whilst this trip tests recent form can’t be ignored.
MEAN APPROACH (6) gets concussion plates after a change of stables. He has speed, has benefited from a recent trial and Bubba Tilley can take luck out of the equation.
FIGHTING IDOL (4) is another bringing Saturday form and has won third-up previously. From a good gate with Georgina Cartwright he will get every chance.
Verdict - SUPER QUICK (7) can break through.
