Bevan and Richard Laming are confident Irish jockey Martin Harley can deliver the goods when the Queensland trainers send their pair of rising star colts on Group 1 hit-and-run missions in the southern states next month.
The Lamings plan to gallop Savour The Dream the reverse way in a barrier trial on the Gold Coast on Tuesday before sending him to the $1 million Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on March 1.
His stablemate, Our Benefactor, will likely head to the $1 million Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) the following week.

Richard Laming said he hoped both talented colts would contest the Group 1 $750,000 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) on March 22 in Sydney.
Our Benefactor showed he was ready to face stiffer opposition following his impressive victory in a 1400m 3YO Handicap at Eagle Farm last Saturday while Savour The Dream produced a last-start victory over 1600m at Doomben this month.

“Their first-up wins this prep have been impressive because they’re certainly not screwed down,” Laming said.
“They both went into their first couple of runs with one soft trial. They’ve got a lot of improvement to come which they’ll need to take on that better class of horses.
“It’s probably time to up the bar with them. I spoke to Martin Harley (on Saturday) and he can’t split them.”
Harley, 35, said it would be a dream to win his first Group 1 in Australia after jagging five features back home in the UK.
“It’s been a while between drinks,” he said.
“It’s certainly on my map to get one in Australia and hopefully it’s not far away now.
“I’ve been riding here for two years. Richard and I are teaming up well together and having a bit of luck which helps.”

It was yet to be determined which of the two Laming colts Harley would ride down south but the trainer had the utmost confidence in the Irishman’s ability to get the job done.
Asked about Harley’s class as a jockey, Laming, who works in combination with his father Bevan, said: “I discovered that some time ago when I identified him as a good rider.
“He copes with the race-day pressure. He’s very relaxed and I think that’s a big key to his success.
“His run on Savour The Dream (on February 8) was 12 out of 10 and it was 10 out of 10 on Our Benefactor on Saturday.
“He doesn’t panic, he’s got good hands and he gets them to relax which is a big thing with staying horses.
“It’s good to have two colts going the way they’re going.”
