Luva Flutta could not only give Queensland another win in the Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic, but the colt could also provide a poignant pick-me-up for one of his owners.
Sherryl Corazzol is the wife of well-known Queensland owner Ian who is one of the largest distributors of musical equipment in the country.

While celebrations would be huge if the all-female owned and Stuart Kendrick-trained colt wins the Magic Millions on Saturday, it would be a particularly emotional moment for Sherryl Corazzol.
Ian said his wife had not been in the best of health and had been undergoing treatment for a serious medical issue.
• Turf whisperer called in to rescue Magic Millions
“I’m really hoping that Sherryl is well enough to go to the races on Saturday – she is really quite excited about it,” Ian Corazzol said.
“We were at Taronga Zoo in Sydney when Luva Flutta won on the Sunshine Coast at his second race start.
“We were in a cafe at the zoo and we watched the race on my phone and Sherryl was cheering and she punched the air when the horse won.”
Ian Corazzol was formerly best known in the harness racing industry with a love of the sport going back decades, but in recent years has turned his attention to thoroughbreds.
Luva Flutta, who was purchased for $80,000 at last year’s Magic Millions Sales, has won two of his three race starts.
The colt is a $26 chance in the 2YO Classic and will be ridden by champion Queensland jockey Jimmy Orman, who returned to action this week after being sidelined by a gruesome injury when a horse bit off the top of his finger.
Luva Flutta will be attempting to make it two Queensland wins in the last three runnings of the 2YO Classic after Tony Gollan-trained filly Skirt The Law surged to victory in 2023.

Sunshine Coast trainer Kendrick said Luva Flutta had a sense of timing heading into Saturday’s $3m Classic.
“He just keeps improving in everything he does,” Kendrick said.
“He has drawn a good barrier (7) so he has enough speed to be up there and he will give it a good shot.
“He is coming off a trial and I did a similar thing with a horse called Fullazaboot who ran second behind Sunlight in the 2018 Magic Millions.
“He did the same thing, he qualified early, and then we just ticked him over and trialled him.
“I think it’s a wide-open Magic Millions and we are certainly in with a chance.”
