Country talent Matter Of Honour can continue Taree trainer Lyndall Olson’s remarkable return from a 14-year hiatus with another city success at Royal Randwick on Saturday.
Olson is back in her first season of training following an extended hiatus where she spent time working with special needs children at a preschool before the racing bug took hold again.

She now has five horses in work at Taree with another two in the paddock and Matter Of Honour is her headline act.
“I never thought I would get back into it,” Olson said.
“I have been doing a bit of casual work at Taree and was really enjoying it so I thought we may as well go back training ourselves.”
Olson had her first winner back in September and has started 2025 with a flurry, training three winners and a second with four starters.
Matter Of Honour was her most recent success and certainly her most significant to date after scoring a tough all the way win over 1400m at Randwick Kensington last week.
“He has slowly improved,” Olson said.
“Before he had come to us, he had won four races so we knew he had some sort of ability.
“It was a really good achievement to see him win (in town) and good for (owner Col Keane) to see the horse come back like that.”

Matter Of Honour ($15) will chase consecutive city wins with in-form apprentice Anna Roper aboard when he lines up in the Captivant @ Kia Ora Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m).
Olson is hoping similar frontrunning tactics can pay off again.
“I think it’s the way to ride him,” Olson said.
“We had a little bit of a chat to Anna (Roper) before the race and the way he jumped, she showed some initiative and let him roll to the front.
“There doesn’t seem to be a lot of speed in the race on Saturday so it would be nice to see if the same thing panned out.”
