Hard to go past James McDonald in the TAB Jockey Challenge.

RACE 1: 2YO Handicap (1100m)

KILMAN (6) is a debutant by Super Seth from a terrific stakes-producing family with the likes of Group 1 winners The Jewel and La Diosa. Has been trialling extremely well and can kick off with a win. FROSTFIRE (1) tracked the leader and came between horses to win at Newcastle on debut. Third placed Mednyi has won since. GRAND EAGLE (5) is a first starter by Farnan. Sat second before kicking away for a stylish win in his Rosehill trial on Feb 18.

BET: KILMAN (6) to win.

RACE 2: 3YO+ Maiden Handicap (1600m)

POLYMNIA (1) was $6 out to $11 first-up but ran well coming from midfield on the fence to finish second behind all-the-way winner Conchiero over 1400m on Feb 19. Can go one better. BENDRODT (3) is knocking on the door. Placed four from six including his last three. On a quick back-up from a third to Deal ‘N’ Dash at Rosehill last week when coming from last. MAJORCA SUNSET (4) lost a plate in running and then shifted in after straightening when fourth to Conchiero here two weeks ago.

BET: POLYMNIA (1) to win.

RACE 3: 3&4YO Benchmark 64 (1300m)

KOIOS (2) was impressive winning his maiden at Scone by over three lengths then jumped up to a Bm72 at Canterbury when a nose second to Tenderize on Feb 21. Back in grade and drawn ideally. WRITTEN GOLD (5) was excellent in his trials and backed from $2 into $1.55 when an impressive winner by nearly three lengths on debut at Wyong. Third place Sum Invictus has since won. Huge chance again but wide gate is a query. ISTOLEA MERC (1) is a big chance to make it a hat-trick.

BET: KOIOS (2) to win.

RACE 4: Benchmark 72 (1000m)

ADMITTED (4) was good leading all-the-way over 1000m at Kembla when resuming from an 11 month break last October. He was also a debut at Bendigo as a two-year-old. Had plenty in hand when a head second in his Rosehill trial on Feb 18. METALLIC RULER (5) was first-up for six months when he kicked off last campaign in a winning note at Newcastle in June then went to the paddock after his second-up run. Returns here a couple of good trials. RIDE THE RIVER (7) fought on gamely for a half-length second to the closing Misty Legend here second -up. Drawn well and will give a sight.

BET: ADMITTED (4) to win.

RACE 5: 5YO+ Benchmark 72 (1200m)

ICONIC TREASURE (3) was taken back to last before working home well for fifth to Yankee One when resuming over 1100m at Canterbury. She will appreciate the step up to 1200m where she has scored her three wins and is unbeaten second-up. SO GOOD SO COOL (1) is racing well without a lot of luck this campaign. Handy third to Tenderize and Koios at Canterbury last start. Should have been in the money when seventh at Canterbury two runs back when held up. ACAPPELLA SUN (7) ran home well at Canterbury first-up before winning at Canberra.

BET: ICONIC TREASURE (3) to win.

RACE 6: Benchmark 72 (2110m)

STING IN THE TAIL (10) was something beaten at Canterbury last start when she clipped heels and blundered soon after the start. Settling near last, she closed strongly out wide to finish a nose second to City Limits over 1900m. Should appreciate the 2110m. SEVEN’S (3) got home well from last to finish third behind Puntin over 1600m at his Australian debut here on Jan 27. His two French wins were over 2000 and 2100m. DECADENT TALE (7) appreciated a drop in grade when third here last start. Has claims again.

BET: STING IN THE TAIL (10) to win.

RACE 7: Benchmark 78 (1400m)

IT’S A KNOCKOUT (12) is a progressive mare who has been good in all four runs. Just missed catching Dark Glitter when resuming over 1300m at Randwick on Feb 8. Will appreciate the step up to 1400m. CODE IN TIME (9) scored back-to-back wins at Kembla and here over 1400m before just being denied the hat-trick when runner-up to Don Pedro two weeks ago. EMMADELLA (7) raced just behind the speed and boxed on well for fourth to Rapt at Hawkesbury last start in a race set up for the swoopers.

BET: IT’S A KNOCKOUT (12) to win.

RACE 8: Mares Benchmark 72 (1400m)

ART VOLANT (2) went back from the wide gate and was held up in the early until the 200m before closing well for third to Rapt in the Provincial-Midway Championship qualifier at Hawkesbury on Feb 20. Can settle closer from the good gate and figure prominently. JUST GLAMOUROUS (6) went to the front and held on to beat Laurel Hill when resuming over 1250m at Canterbury on Feb 14. MAKENA (3) can run a cheeky race first-up from the inside gate.

BET: ART VOLANT (2) each-way.
