Trainer Michael Freedmanhas tinkered with the gear in a bid to propel talented sprinter Moravia into Magic Millions contention at Royal Randwick on Saturday.
Freedman is eager to target the lucrative prize money on offer on the Gold Coast next month and wants to use the Listed $200,000 Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m) as a launching pad this weekend.
He has replaced the Norton bit with a lugging bit and tongue tie in a bid to get the best out of Moravia.

The son of Snitzel has successfully trialled in the new gear at Canterbury last week after having a short freshen following a last start fifth in Benchmark 100 grade over 1100m at Royal Randwick on Big Dance day.
“He went and spent a bit of time on a water walker for a few weeks after his last run,” Freedman said.
“He had a bit of a freshen up and brought him back.
“He has just had this tendency to want to hang in under pressure in his races so we’ve changed his bit around and he trialled in that at Canterbury and went nice and straight.
“On Tuesday morning he worked well and we are running him in that race on Saturday to see if he is a chance or a contender to run in a Magic Millions Cup in three or four weeks.”

The $2m Magic Millions Cup (1400m) is staged at the Gold Coast’s marquee meeting on January 11 and Moravia will need to put his best foot forward in the Razor Sharp to earn his chance.
Freedman has enlisted the right man for the job on Moravia with jockey Regan Bayliss shooting for a hat-trick of victories in the Razor Sharp.
Bayliss won two years ago on Sky Command and backed it up last year on Recommendation.
Moravia is a $4.80 chance to keep the streak going with the Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr-trained Hedged leading the market at $3.30.
