INSIDE MAIL – KEMBLA

RACE 1

Mega Fight is closing in on his maiden win after placings at four of his five starts including seconds at his past two outings. Was nosed out by Coastal Groove on a Heavy 10 at Newcastle before beating all bar Another Fortune at Hawkesbury. Drawn ideally. Balmierro led and kicked on straightening before being caught by Fifth Force over this track and distance after dropping back from 1800m. Was fourth to Lenape Vibe over 1550m at Canterbury last start. Pierant has claims on his last start second at Hawkesbury.

Bet: Mega Fight to win

RACE 2

Fortingall is a first starter by I Am Invincible. Led but stayed wide when he won his Randwick trial from Bartolf on May 31. Sat third before winning his June 14 heat there. Firework is a debutant by Written Tycoon from a daughter of Miss Finland. Was very impressive racing away to win his Wyong trial by five lengths on June 14. Art’s Alive has placed once in four starts on debut behind Sovereign Hill at Warwick Farm. Tackled strong races in his other three starts and was fourth in the Black Opal Preview.

RACE 3

Explosive Torpido started favourite when a half-length third to Riva D’amor on debut at Goulburn before a fifth to Biographer at Gosford in June last year where she pulled up lame. Resuming here after a nice all-the-way trial win on heavy ground at Rosehill on June 11. Du Cap led when run down by Kwyjibo at Wyong on June 6 before backing up at the same track a week later when fourth to Villa Tino. Lady Ichikawa showed handy ability in her first campaign including a second to the smart Genzano at Scone.

Bet: Explosive Torpido to win

RACE 4

Zaragoza, the three-quarter brother to Osborne Bulls and half to Zapateo, has his first start for Robert and Luke Price. Formally with Godolphin, he broke his maiden at start three with a nice win on a heavy track here on Jan 3. Trials have been good. Flying Rani tried hard to run down Sunday Bell when beaten a nose first-up when beaten a nose over 900m at Scone on June 11. Drops 2kg and steps up to 1000m. Scissor Me Timbers went quick in front but held on to win at Nowra last start. Loves it wet.

Bet: Zaragoza to win

RACE 5

Everybody Rise wanted to lay out on the turn when a safely held third to Spywire on debut at Rosehill on Nov 15. Resumed with a closing third behind stablemate Braveheart on the Kensington on June 12. Fiorenza bumped into a pretty handy one on debut when runner-up behind I Found You over 1150m on the Kensington on June 12. Any step up in trip will suit. Jawharat Dubai has placed at his last six starts. His maiden win isn’t far away.

RACE 6

World Alliance maintained his perfect first-up record when he proved too good for Deceive under 60kg for Jason Collett at Hawkesbury on June 18. Has the outside gate to overcome but can make it two in-a-row. French Marine is closing in on a win after placings at his past three starts. Was just pipped when third at Warwick Farm two starts back before a second to Butch’n’bugs on the heavy at Coffs Harbour. Headstock and Scopics have claims.

Bet: World Alliance to win

RACE 7

Vegas Dream has really found consistent form in his last two preparations with a maiden win at Canberra a third here both on a Heavy 10 last December. He was a narrow runner-up in his first two runs back before a fourth to Gallic Fox at Newcastle on June 22. Lights Of Paradise had trialled well prior to her debut and she was good in leading all-the-way to win her maiden on debut at Scone on June 11. Nefertari and Madam Rupee have claims on their last starts wins.

Bet: Vegas Dream to win

RACE 8

Loose Love rolled forward from the outside gate to lead and held on to beat Rangatira under 62kg at Goulburn last start. Drops to 60kg and has won three from four on the heavy. Can run a cheeky race at odds. Highballer was runner-up to Scalextrics with 60kg on a heavy track at Nowra first-up. Extra distance and the 3kg claim suits. Will be thereabouts again. Hellfire Express has been well beaten at both runs back from a spell at Randwick and Canterbury. Drops substantially in grade but gets a 2kg claim.
