INSIDE MAIL – HAWKESBURY

RACE 1: PERFORMANCE ACCESS RESOURCES SUPER MDN PLATE 1600M

The Beast was held up momentarily in the straight when a head second to Cashburn on debut at Nowra. Drawn nicely and will be prominent again. Squeezebox got a check on the turn and was held up until the 300m before taking a narrow gap when second to Full Metal Jacket first-up over 1300m here. Wide early and went forward to get cover about fifth when a safely held second to all-the-way winner Just Feelin’ Lucky. Telecom made ground on debut and will take benefit from the run. Extra trip will help.

Bet: The Beast to win

RACE 2: FOWLER CIVIL CONTRACTING MDN PLATE 1400M

Gorbachev was good late when a close third to Idolised over 1000m on debut before being clearly headed by Shelstein and fighting back to go down by a nose over 1200m at Kembla. Superhero was backed from was $7 into $5 when resuming at Warwick Farm. After jumping slow and settling near last, he closed well to finish a nose second to Strong Trade over 1300m. He will appreciate the step up to 1400m. Highland Eightgee was good first-up then unlucky last start. Can run well.

Bet: Gorbachev to win

RACE 3: BELLE PROPERTY HAWKESBURY MDN PLATE 1400M

Diddle Dumpling was good gate when second to Aye Aye Captain in a maiden at Rosehill two starts. Again got back before running out of her skin when beaten just over a length-and-a-half by Aeliana when ninth in the Group 3 Reginald Allen at Randwick. Back to a fillies and mares maiden. Starphistocated went back to last from a wide gate and ran on well for fourth to Flying Embers over 1200, Barrier 1 and a step up in trip are big positives. I Am Wild has place claims on her third here last start.

Bet: Exacta 7 / 2, 3, 8

RACE 4: ALL ASPECTS ROOFING (BM68) 2100M

Cheval Savant copped an untimely check before getting going again when eighth at Newcastle first-up then battled away behind Green Belt on the Kensington. Drawn ideally, dry track and 2100m is ideal. So Sleek was doing his best work late when third behind Green Belt on the Kensington and beat home Tympanist who won his next start. Sat outside the leader and heavily bumped on the corner when third to Flying Bandit. Up to his right trip. Seething Seb followed a win here with a second to Flying Bandit. Will be prominent again.

Bet: Cheval Savant to win

RACE 5: BLAKES MARINE MDN HCP 1100M

Monte Braveheart got shuffled back from barrier 1 and stayed near fence as most of the went to the outside rail but made up ground to finish fifth behind Hellaine when resuming on a heavy track at Kembla on Sept 28. Nice trial at Hawkesbury since. Will appreciate better going. Royalify has been good in most of his nice starts. Has had two trials ahead of his return and has been good in both. Sat wide and just beaten in his latest heat here. Kazotsky has been freshened for a drop back in trip. Can run well from a good draw.

Bet: Monte Braveheart to win

RACE 6: IRRESISTIBLE POOLS & SPAS (BM64) 1500M

Strong Trade shifted out abruptly but ran well when runner-up here to end his last campaign. Nice trial then held off Superhero to win his maiden first-up at Warwick Farm. Can make it two in-a-row. Star Legacy pumped into a handy one when second to Yoshinobu over 1250m at Newcastle two runs back before a close second to This Is The Moment over 1600m at Kembla. Placed all three runs at this track and will be in the mix again. Leandra was a handy third to Kingston Charm here last start.

Bet: Strong Trade to win

RACE 7: LANDER TOYOTA LADIES DAY CUP 1500M

City Of Lights reared at the start when fourth in the Group 3 Tibbie Stakes first-up. Held her ground when sixth in a Group 3 at Caulfield last start. Has since trialled well at Warwick Farm and blinkers go on. Robusto ran fourth in the Group 3 Cameron for his new stable. Was doing his best late in the Five Diamonds Prelude last time out. Berkshire Shadow was tough in the Cameron at Newcastle and was good in the Epsom. Don’t dismiss.

Bet: City Of Lights each-way

RACE 8: RICHMOND CLUB MIDWAY (BM64) 1300M

Bindi’s Choice had trouble getting a clear run until the 200m when fifth to subsequent Four Pillars winner, Kingston Charm, over 1500m here. Drawn well again and can give this a shake. Monte Supreme drops in grade from his seventh to Mad Darcey in a Randwick Midway when untested. Flying Embers us racing well and will make her presence felt.

Bet: Bindi’s Choice each-way
