Boom filly Autumn Glow joins Briasa and Joliestar among Group 1 All Aged Stakes nominations

Champion trainer Chris Waller has kept the door ajar for boom filly Autumn Glow to have a maiden Group 1 crack in Saturday’s $1.5m All Aged Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick.
Waller’s unbeaten three-year-old was one of 22 nominations for the sprint feature on the final day of Sydney’s autumn carnival.

Autumn Glow was scratched as an odds-on favourite from last Saturday’s $1m Arrowfield 3YO Sprint (1200m) on day two of The Championships due to a minor temperature.
She remains unbeaten in four starts after returning from a break with victory in the Listed Darby Munro Stakes (1200m) on Golden Slipper day at Rosehill Gardens.
Waller, a two-time winner of the All Aged Stakes, has also nominated the daughter of The Autumn Sun for the Group 3 $250,000 James H B Carr Stakes (1400m) on the same program this Saturday.

She is rated a $15 chance for the All Aged Stakes and is one of three Waller-trained contenders nominated for the All Aged Stakes alongside Group 1 Newmarket Handicap winner Joliestar ($4.50) and Osipenko ($101).
Brilliant TJ Smith Stakes winner Briasa will get the opportunity to claim consecutive Group 1s and was the $3.50 favourite when betting open on Monday.

Godolphin stars Pericles ($26) and Broadsiding ($6) could add further weight to the All Aged Stakes field while Oakleigh Plate winner Jimmysstar is also in line for a start in this week’s main event.
The Grahame Begg-trained Magic Time will attempt to become the first horse since Sunline in 2000 and 2002 to win the All Aged Stakes twice while no horse has won the race back-to-back since Rough Habit in 1992-93.
Amenable ($51), runner-up last year, has also be nominated.
Star jockey Blake Shinn has been forced to forgo the ride on Queensland star Antino after picking up a suspension last Saturday with Mark Zahra set to take over in his absence.
The race will have a trans-Tasman flavour with Kiwi Group 1 winners Grail Seeker ($26) and Crocetti ($26) among the All Aged nominations.
Provincial-Midway Championships winner Matcha Latte could be given the chance to back-up.
