Defending premiers TSS will take on premiership heavyweights BBC in one of the most anticipated GPS Rugby games of the year.

BBC have been unstoppable in 2020 tallying up big wins in their first two games and sitting on top of the ladder on for and against.

Tied with them on points is TSS who survived a scare last week, scoring a try with just minutes left to beat a determined Brisbane Grammar side.

The game will play out on the scenic Village Green oval on the Gold Coast with the result set to have big ramifications in this year’s shortened season.

This is a crucial game for BBC if they want to break their 66-year premiership drought while Southport are look to go back to back.

Possibly the upset of 2020 took place last weekend when Gregory Terrace got their first win against Churchie, meanwhile BGS showed some real fight falling in the dying minutes against Southport.

The move of David Vaihu to fullback proved to be a masterstroke last week with the talented ball runner setting up and scoring tries across the park.

Head coach Ryan Shultz says the Terrace side have been their own worst enemy at times and hopes the side can build on their win on Saturday.

BGS have had a tough draw so far coming up against three of the top four sides and were unlucky not to record their first win of the year last weekend.

The Spring Hill based rivals will play at Internationals Oval in Tennyson with plenty on the line for both sides.

State High have plenty of talent in their side and notched up an impressive victory against Gregory Terrace two weeks ago, they’ll be looking to keep moving up the ladder.

TGS are yet to record a victory but have fought hard in their losses and are every chance this weekend at Fursden Road.

Churchie and Ipswich will be looking to bounce back after both sides had losses last week with Churchie looking to stay in the premiership fight.

Two red cards hurt Churchie last weekend but the side put up a valiant performance scoring 24 points against team with two extra players.

Scrum-half Sam Farrer starred for the side who had their backs against the wall.

Ipswich have had a tough draw coming up against premiership leaders BBC and Nudgee in consecutive weeks.
