A FED up Ricki-Lee Coulter has denied she was lip syncing at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony and believes she “can’t win” when it comes to public perception.
The former Australian Idol contestant kicked off the Opening Ceremony last night, performing a song and dance routine before later being carrier around on a surfboard.
A number of viewers watching took to social media to question whether the 32-year-old was in fact lip-syncing.

yeah we turned off. Shame we missed Katie Noonan! Shame Ricki-Lee wasn't live. She's got a great voice!

Speaking this morning, Coulter defended her performance, saying she, “sang her face off.”
“I feel like I can’t win. If I sing well, there’s always like ‘ugh, Ricki-Lee’s miming’,” she told KIIS FM.
“Unless I have an off night and then everyone’s like ‘Oh, Ricki can’t sing, she’s sh*t’.”
Commonwealth Games officials have denied Coulter, or any other performers on the night, were lip syncing.
