AN angry family who spent $2500 on premium tickets to the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games opening ceremony are still waiting for answers after their views were almost totally blocked by production equipment and their requests to move were rejected.

WE just staged a spectacularly successful Commonwealth Games, hosting thousands of athletes and officials, and many, many more visitors. Sure there were some transport snags, and issues with the closing ceremony, but the good far outweighed the bad, writes Paul Syvret.

The Queensland Government will formally hand over the Parklands Development to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) to transform the site into the Commonwealth Games Village . The occasion will also mark the launch of the brand and emblem for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Village and reveal the first street name for the precinct.
