Danika Mason has called off her engagement three weeks out from her planned wedding.
The popular Channel 9 sports host, who is the female face of their rugby league coverage, was due to marry long-time partner Todd Liubinskas in October.
A number of high-profile media identities had accepted invitations to the couple’s overseas wedding, but were informed late last week of its cancellation.
Despite the relationship breakdown, Mason still showed up to work for Nine’s coverage of the grand final qualifiers over the weekend.
The couple were last seen publicly together at an event to launch the new BYD electric car and showroom in Alexandria less than two weeks ago.
Friends have told Confidential Mason is “beyond devastated” and “completely heartbroken”.
The pair had been together for more than three years and have a chocolate labrador named Charlie.
Confidential has reached out to Mason and Liubinskas for comment.
Liubinskas proposed to Mason in July 2021 and captured the moment on Instagram, posting “Today was a good day!”.
Mason has been a star on the rise at Channel 9, where she began her career as an intern in the newsroom in 2012.
She now hosts the Sunday Footy Show, is a sideline reporting on NRL matches and is part of the station’s Australian Open tennis coverage.
Liubinskas works in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach, and owns his own business.
