Cairns’ hopes of hosting Australia’s national cricket teams for an international double-header in October have taken a major blow, following the news that this year’s T20 World Cup will be officially postponed this week.
The men’s side are scheduled to face West Indies in a World Cup warm-up match on October 6, while the Australian women’s side are set to take on New Zealand in an ODI on October 7, both at Cazalys Stadium.
