MMA star humps rival in bizarre celebration in the main event of OKTAGON 69

MMA throws up no shortage of bizarre win celebrations, but one fighter has overstepped the mark with a truly disrespectful post-fight act.

An MMA star went viral for an obscenely disrespectful celebration after making his opponent tap out.

Max Holzer and Deniz Ilbay faced off on Saturday in the main event of OKTAGON 69 at Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany.

The two fighters went to war for three gruelling rounds but it was during the fourth when Holzer, 23, caught his opponent in a nasty rear-naked choke.

And Ilbay, 30, had no other option but to tap out to his undefeated rival.

But instead of shaking his fallen opponent’s hand, Holzer went on to exhibit some reprehensible behaviour, The Sun reports.

The victor appeared to be lashing out at his rival, who was still on his knees.

And that was when Holzer apparently kissed him at the back of the head and grabbed him by the waist before performing what looked like a sexual act.

Ilbay was absolutely livid with his fellow German and started throwing punches at him.

Max Holzer humped his rival after scoring a win at OKTAGON 69.

The irrate fighter then chased Holzer out of the octagon with a series of blows.

That, however, didn’t seem to really dampen the cocky winner’s spirits as he continued to celebrate at ringside.

Holzer has extended his undefeated streak to a perfect record of 11-0 after his controversial win during the weekend.

Ilbay, on the other hand, suffered his second defeat and now carries a record of 8-2 in MMA.

Holzer is not the first MMA fighter to perform such a bizarre celebration as UFC legend Israel Adesanya did something similar after defeating Paulo Costa in 2020.

With referee Jason Herzog moving in to end the bout, Adesanya added insult to injury by pretending to hump Costa at UFC 253.
