The win over Cook, who stepped into the ring with a career record of seven wins and one loss, takes Nolan’s professional career tally to four wins and no losses.

When The Chronicle caught up with him Saturday morning, Nolan was sore but feeling no pain.

“This fight meant a lot to me as I battled three nights in hospital two weeks ago,” he said.

“We came into this fight with a thorough game plan that me and my coaches practised for weeks, and it worked out nearly perfect.”

Nolan was quick to thank and praise his coaches, training and support staff for their help in him achieving his goals.

“To my friends, family and supporters who show up and make all the noise at every Eternal event, I love and appreciate you all,” he said.

Nolan said his manager is working on arranging his next fight.
