The “stakes just got higher” in the biggest grudge match in recent fight history after Dillon Danis cracked Logan Paul with a microphone.

Dillon Danis could not wait until fight night to get his hands on Logan Paul.

The two are scheduled for a boxing match in England on Sunday, and at a press conference on Friday morning Paul threw something at Danis, who proceeded to go berserk and smash Paul in the face with a microphone.

Paul’s trainer, Milton Lacroix, told USA Today that the fight could now be in jeopardy.

“Right now, we going through hell,” Lacroix said.

“He got hit in the face. His eye’s cut. So right now I’m just bugging out right now, just trying to find somebody. There might not be a fight.”

But Paul later confirmed he wasn’t going anywhere.

“Dillon can’t escape me. The fight is very much happening, the stakes just got higher,” he tweeted.

Personal animosity and even pre-fight physicality have long been tools deployed by fighters to promote their events, but Danis, an MMA fighter in Bellator, has been taking things particularly far with Paul for months.

Last month, Paul’s fiancee, model Nina Agdal, sued Danis and filed for a restraining order over what she said were chronic “despicable” posts about her on social media.

She claimed in the suit that Danis had posted about her more than 250 times and caused “humiliation, emotional distress, and reputational harm”.

One post, published in August, was a sexually explicit photo that Agdal said came from a romantic encounter more than a decade ago.

“Danis posted the photograph — entirely uncensored — from his X (Twitter) account, without Plaintiff’s consent,” Agdal wrote in the lawsuit, as covered by the Daily Mail.

“Later that day, Danis reposted the explicit photograph in order to maximise the number of views it would receive.”

Nevertheless, Paul has said that Agdal would attend the fight. “Nina is a warrior, dude,” Paul said in September. “Dillon Danis is a puddle. Dillon Danis on Twitter, on X, behind a keyboard, is much different than Dillon Danis in person. I saw it, I witnessed it face-to-face. Just two separate entities.”
