Damaging news leaks out of Jake Paul’s team ahead of Anthony Joshua fight
Worrying news has leaked out of Jake Paul’s camp ahead of his fight against Anthony Joshua - and it has instantly added to the fears of fans.
Jake Paul has been getting “beat up” in sparring for his clash with Anthony Joshua, it’s been claimed.
The YouTube sensation throws down with the former two-time unified heavyweight champion in a shock showdown in Miami next Saturday (AEDT).
Paul, 28, is leaving no stone unturned ahead of the biggest fight of his professional career.
The former Disney star has brought in world-class sparring partners in the form of Jared Anderson, Frank Sanchez and long-time AJ pal Lawrence Okolie to prepare him for the heavy artillery he’ll face, The Sun reports.
But according to former interim WBC lightweight champion Ryan Garcia, sparring hasn’t quite gone to plan for ‘The Problem Child’.
“(Paul is getting beat up in sparring) and these aren’t even Anthony Joshua, bro. S***, I’m leaking some s***,” Garcia said.
“But… [Joshua] has got 50lbs on him.”
Paul was recently spotted sporting a black eye after one of his gruelling spars with the trio.
And the social media sensation has revealed that Sanchez has “cracked” his nose in the build-up to the Florida fisticuffs.
During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Paul said of his nose: “It is even more crooked, brother.
“I’m not going to lie, sparring the heavyweights has moved my nose a couple of millimetres this camp.
“A guy by the name of Frank Sanchez definitely cracked it a little bit.
“So it definitely has a slight little something in there. But yeah man, it’s bad.”
Watford warrior AJ plans to fully test the durability of Paul’s nose in the early goings of their Miami melee, which he insists won’t go the distance.
He told ESPN: “There’s zero chance this fight goes the distance.
“It might go one round. It might go two rounds, but he won’t see the final bell.”
