An Australian boxing civil war is brewing with Jeff Fenech’s former protege Brock Jarvis set to sign with the promoters of Tim Tszyu – then vowing to bash his brother Nikita.

This masthead can reveal Jarvis is close to inking a deal with Australia’s No.1 boxing promoters No Limit, who turned Tszyu into a world champion and believe they can do the same with Nikita.

Tszyu’s younger sibling Nikita (8-0, 7KO) will look to keep his perfect record intact on Wednesday night when ‘The Butcher’ faces Danilo Creati (8-1-1) in a Fox pay-per-view event at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.

Victory over Creati will put Nikita on a collision course with Jarvis, who hopes joining the No Limit stable can help resurrect his career after his brutal knockout loss to fellow Australian Liam Paro in October 2022.

In the wake of his crushing first-round defeat, Jarvis (21-1, 19KO) sensationally split with his legendary Hall-of-Fame mentor Fenech, with the pair allegedly clashing over his best fighting weight.

Having lost to Paro at super lightweight, Jarvis has moved up to super welterweight. Now he wants the Australian super welterweight title held by Tszyu, who last week boldly declared he would hand Fenech’s former fighter the worst belting of his career.

“I’ve told them (No Limit) I want Nikita Tszyu,” said Jarvis, who plans to make his No Limit debut in June.

“I plan on shutting him up and knocking him out before the year is out.

“He’s been talking s*** about me saying he’d knock me out in a round, and beat me worse than Paro, but it’s going to be me knocking him out.

“I’ll beat him uglier than what he already is.”

Built like a bodybuilder, the chiselled Jarvis was undefeated as a professional for seven years and had chalked up 20 consecutive wins.

Fenech believed his young gun had world-title potential. Then came the devastating 179-second loss to Paro, who produced one of the knockouts of 2022 with the vicious left hook that represented a soul-searching reality check for Jarvis.

The 26-year-old Sydneysider still boasts one of the most impressive records in Australian boxing and No Limit chiefs believe a Jarvis-Tszyu bout would be a domestic blockbuster.

“Brock Jarvis will give us some entertaining fights,” No Limit boss George Rose said.

“He is very confident of beating Nikita so I thought if he’s that confident, well why don’t we give him a chance.

“His physique is remarkable, he doesn’t look like your normal boxer.

“Brock and Nikita are both highly-talented prospects and have a bit of X-factor … Jarvis versus Tszyu would be a cracking Australian fight.”

Tszyu has shown incredible toughness last year to claim the scalps of Jack Brubaker and Dylan Biggs, but Jarvis insists the 26-year-old defending champion is overrated.

“Nikita’s got the name and the team but I honestly believe he’s not the star that everyone thinks he is,” he said.

“I’m out to prove that.

“I’ve always thought one day I would fight Nikita. We’re not there yet, but it’s in the making.

“I’m excited by what lies ahead for me.”
