Add this to the list of FedEx Field’s problems.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was nearly hit by fans who crashed into the player’s tunnel when a metal barrier gave way.
The fans took a spill onto the field as Hurts was walking up the tunnel back to the locker room, narrowly missing the NFL star, who helped them to their feet.

He was a good sport about it, taking a few quick selfies with the fans, who were in a good mood following the Eagles’ 20-16 win over the Washington Football Team in Landover.
The fans were eventually herded back into the stands by event security, which tried to rebuild the barriers.
“I’m just happy everybody’s safe from it,” Hurts said after the game. “It’s crazy. it’s crazy stuff right there. That was a real dangerous situation.”

Hurts played well in the victory, throwing for 214 yards without an interception as Boston Scott led the Eagles with two rushing touchdowns. The win kept Philadelphia in a wildcard spot headed into Week 18.
The Washington Football Team has been trying to get out of FedEx Field, which is inconveniently located away from Washington DC. They most recently met with Virginia legislators to get support for a stadium and commercial complex in Northern Virginia, per The Washington Post.
Washington is contracted to play at FedEx Field until 2027, after which owner Daniel Snyder has said he plans to get away.
“Looking to build a new venue back home, in DC or Maryland,” Snyder said in May. “So we’re looking everywhere … looking at the future. … We’re making big plans.”
Hopefully the rest of FedEx Field stays intact until then.
