America is no stranger to crazy sporting celebrations and fans were treated to another cracker in the NBA on Thursday.

The Phoenix Suns continued their strong start to the playoffs, demolishing the Denver Nuggets 123-98 to take a 2-0 lead in their second-round series.

But it was the action in the crowd that stole the show in Phoenix.

A young Suns fan was clearly loving the performance from his team, who are enjoying their best start to the playoffs since 2010.

The boy, kitted out in full Phoenix gear, removes off his cap and shirt and widlly screams praise for his team, much to the delight of the fans around him.

The young lad’s celebration was even projected onto the big screen inside the arena and the celebration has now gone viral on social media.

On the court, Phoenix was dominant, with veteran Chris Paul turning back the clock in a stellar performance.

The 36-year-old guard had 17 points and had his hand in everything, accumulating a mammoth 15 assists.

But even he was taken aback by fans’ reaction that met the kid’s wild celebration.

“Man, it’s crazy. It got loud, then it got a little louder, then it got crazy. I remember covering my ears and Coach was like, ‘Chris, get back in the huddle.’ It just shows you how important the fans are to the game… There’s nothing like having the fans at the games and their energy.”

Teammate Torrey Craig even said after the match that the players looked at each other and said “this is wild”.

The NBA went wild for the kid.

It was Paul’s third career game with more than 15 points and 15 assists.

The Suns had solid contributors across the board, with six players scoring 10 points or more.

Star Devin Booker had 18 points, while Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder, Deandre Ayton and Craig all racked up double figures.

The Suns finished second in the Western Conference and KOed the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.

It’s the Suns’ first playoff run since 2009-10 when the side made the Conference Finals before being knocked out by Kobe Bryant’s Lakers.

The side is looking for its first NBA Championship, having made the NBA Finals twice before — in 1975-76 and 1992-93.
