The Milwaukee Bucks have tied up the NBA Finals series with a thrilling six-point victory over the Phoenix Suns at the Fiserv Forum on Thursday AEST.

Suns shooting guard Devin Booker scored a game-high 42 points in Game 4, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a fourth-quarter comeback from the Bucks.

Milwaukee was leading 101-99 with less than 90 seconds left on the clock when Booker set up teammate Deandre Ayton for an alley-oop.

But two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo denied Ayton with a stunning block, flexing his muscles at the home crowd in celebration.

Sacramento Kings star Richaun Holmes tweeted: “That block by Giannis one of the best I ever seen.”

Six-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard posted: “That block by Giannis might have won them the game.”

It proved a pivotal moment in the contest, with Milwaukee extending its lead soon after and ultimately clinching 109-103 victory.

“We wanted this bad and the team showed it tonight,” Antetokounmpo told reporters. “But we gotta keep getting better.”

Antetokounmpo finished the game with 14 rebounds, eight assists and 26 points, while Bucks teammate Khris Middleton scored a team-high 40 points.

“My confidence stays high at all times... I try to make plays. Late, they wanted me to make plays,” Middleton said after the win.

“We got some great stops down the stretch, that definitely helped us close it out.”

Earlier in the fourth quarter, the referees copped scrutiny for missing Booker’s blatant foul on Jrue Holiday, which would have ruled the 24-year-old out of the game.

“How do you not call that foul?” NBA commentator Mark Jackson asked as boos echoed around the venue.

Sports Illustrated writer Chris Mannix tweeted: “That is an insane non-call on Booker. And I‘m sorry - you’re not going to convince me the referees weren’t keenly aware that would have been six fouls. There is no angle where that looks like anything but a foul.”

Game 5 of the NBA Finals series will commence at 11am AEST on Sunday morning.
