The Golden State Warriors superstar produced another shooting masterclass to lead the Warriors to a 106-101 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Curry is must-watch television when he’s running hot and he had the basketball world going wild on Saturday as he went supernova on his home court.

The two-time MVP winner put the team on his back down the stretch, helping the Warriors come back from being down 95-87 with a little over four minutes to play.

It was in the final 90 seconds when Curry sent the Oakland crowd and those watching on into raptures by scoring eight straight points for the Warriors.

A three in front of the Cavaliers bench to level the scores got the crowd out of their seats, but it was his three to drive in the final dagger that blew the roof off the stadium.

Holding a one-point advantage, Curry dribbled down the court and behind a questionable screen from teammate Klay Thompson he nailed the dagger.

Curry finished the game with an absurd 40 points, four rebounds and five assists with the insane outing seeing him enter the NBA record books.

He becomes the oldest player to register consecutive 40-point games since a player by the name of Michael Jordan did so back in 2002.

But he becomes the first player in NBA history to record back-to-back games of 40+ points while knocking down 5+ threes and shooting 65 per cent or better from the field.

So not only is he absolutely eviscerating teams with his offensive firepower, he’s doing it at an otherworldly level of efficiency.

It’s not just over the past two games where Curry has been at his heat-seeking best either, the Warriors guard has been lighting it up all season long.

Through the opening 12 games of the season he’s currently the second leading scorer with an average of 33.3 points per game, marginally behind Luka Doncic (33.6).

He’s comfortably in top spot on the three pointers made list with 59, the second best three-point shooters so far this season are Desmond Bane and Donovan Mitchell who have both knocked down 46.

His display on Saturday left the basketball world in utter disbelief.

Despite Curry’s out of this world play, the Warriors currently sit 11th in the Western Conference at 5-7.

They’ll look to edge closer to the play-in standings when they take on the Sacramento Kings on Monday at 1pm (AEDT).
