Tuesday felt like Christmas Day for basketball fans as they delighted in all 30 NBA teams taking to the court.
A jam-packed day of 15 games had fans hunting down as many screens as possible to take all of the action in.
On Wednesday it was the polar opposite, no games were being played. In a league where each team plays 82 games in a span of five months it was a baffling move.

Fans weren’t happy when they checked the schedule and realised they’d have to spend the day doing household chores instead of camping in front of the TV.
So why is there no NBA on today?
The United States midterm elections are on and the ballots open on Wednesday. The league kept the day on the calendar clear in the hopes fans would use the free day to get out and let their voices be heard by voting.
“The scheduling decision stemmed from the NBA family’s focus on promoting nonpartisan civic engagement and encouraging fans to make a plan to vote during the midterm elections,” the statement said. league on August 16 when the decision was made.
The decision to try and encourage NBA fans to get out and vote still caused outrage among fans and even former players.
Former star Nick Young wrote: “Why is there no nba games on tonight did I miss something.”

The move was rare from the league who held games on elections in 2012, 2014 and 2018.
Throughout the smorgasbord of games that were played on Tuesday, teams wore specialised warm-up shirts which simply read “vote”.
