TOP draft prospect Cameron Rayner will move interstate to follow his AFL dream despite preferring to stay in Melbourne.
The explosive No. 1 draft pick faces the prospect of playing at Brisbane Lions, Fremantle and Carlton following the November 24 AFL draft.
North Melbourne would swoop on the explosive Western Jets product — likened to Dustin Martin and Christian Petracca — but it’s unlikely he’ll slip outside the top three draft picks.

PRESEASON: WHY ARE THE BLUES BACK TRAINING ALREADY?
“I’m not too worried (about playing interstate),” Rayner said.
“The goal was to get drafted, so to be considered in the first pick and second pick it’s really surreal — you don’t believe it’s happening.
“If I’m at an AFL club after November 24 I’m going to be stoked, it doesn’t really matter what club it is.”
Despite Rayner’s attributes, the Lions and Dockers, who lost homesick draftees Josh Schache and Lachie Weller this month, could opt against the highly-rated youngster for fear of losing him down the track.
“Obviously you’re a Melbourne boy and ideally you’d like to stay at home,” Rayner told SEN Breakfast.
“But ... (when) you get given the opportunity to play AFL football you’re probably going to play anywhere.
“I’m just looking forward to getting to a club and start training and prove my worth.”
Rayner, who lives about 10 minutes from Tullamarine, has grown up supporting Essendon.
