INJURY NEWS: GWS STAR OUT FOR 12 WEEKS

AFL players sign initial two-season deals, with the deals a show of faith in the club’s direction given they were secured so early in their GWS careers.

All three have looked accomplished when on display this year, with Taranto filling in as a key small forward as the club battles key injuries.

The Giants continue to give Josh Kelly room to consider his future, unwilling to distract him admit as he roars up the AFL’s midfield charts.

If he decides he wants to stay the Giants do not have room to match $1 million a year offers but would hand him a lucrative two-year deal.

Small forward Devon Smith wants to stay at the club, with the Geelong local and GWS moving closer to terms on a contract.

Victorian Taranto has averaged 16 disposals in his 10 games for the Giants this year, while Setterfield was rated by some AFL clubs as the best kid in last year’s draft.

Setterfield is yet to make his debut after an ankle injury suffered in the NEAFL but kicked three goals and had 33 possessions in his first NEAFL clash.
