But in the Collingwood captain’s defence, the pigeon played for it, he clearly ducked.
Pendlebury had what he described as a “unique” experience when he bounded out of the centre square at the MCG yesterday and took a bounce on a pigeon.
“I think they’ll have a close look at it because it was head high,” Pendlebury said.
“Hopefully I get off.
“ … that’s never happened to me before.
“I’m pretty sure that the pigeon flew off and he was fine.”
