COLLINGWOOD defender Jonathon Marsh has informed the club he wants to return home to Western Australia.
The 20-year-old from Margaret River is seeking a move west to be closer to his family and friends.

“Collingwood has been, and will continue to be, in contact with Jonathon and his family and will make certain Jonathon’s health and wellbeing are best served,” Collingwood released in a statement on Thursday.
Marsh played 15 games in three seasons for the Magpies after being drafted with pick No.77 in the 2013 national draft.
The August-Margaret River Hawks product became a regular in Collingwood’s defence during the second half of 2016 after forcing his way back into the side in Round 12, playing 10 of the last 11 games of the season.
A reliable 194cm key defender, Marsh may be targeted by Fremantle during the trade period if the club is unsuccessful in luring Western Bulldogs premiership backman Joel Hamling home.
The out-of-contract Hamling is weighing up his options after being offered a three-year deal by the Dockers, worth $1.2 million.
Marsh is the younger brother of Harrison, the unlucky player dropped ahead of Sydney’s Grand Final loss to the Bulldogs.
