COLLINGWOOD swingman Ben Reid wants his brother, Swans forward Sam Reid, to join him at the Magpies next season.
The younger Reid is out of contract at season’s end and is a restricted free agent, with Collingwood and Richmond already linked as potential new homes should he leave the Swans.
Reid is on record as saying he is enjoying life in Sydney but is yet to sign a new deal.
The Magpies need another tall forward to partner young gun Darcy Moore and Reid knows his brother would be a perfect fit.
“That would be nice but it is out of our control,” he said. “It’s up to Sam.
“There would be a fair few clubs chasing him but he is playing great footy for Sydney. He loves it up there.

“As long as he is enjoying his footy, that’s the main thing.”
Swan Reid has booted 20 goals from 13 matches this season.
Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley swung Reid forward in the final term of Saturday’s loss to the Power as the Magpies were clearly lacking another tall target.
There have been calls for Buckley to use Reid as a permanent key forward given Mason Cox and Jesse White have struggled for form this year.
When asked on Channel 7 whether he would benefit from his brother joining him in black and white, Reid said: “Probably. Then I would be able to stay down back most of the time.”
The Herald Sun reported in April Reid looms as this year’s most attractive tall free agency target.
