The Gold Coast midfielder — now the No. 1 banana after the departure of Gary Ablett — is one of the highest-scoring players of the pre-season after posting back-to-back hundreds.
Horrible conditions at Southport on Sunday didn’t stop him racking up 24 disposals (including 12 in the final quarter) and a goal.

There were a lot of rookies auditioning for our SuperCoach teams in the final JLT Series hitout for the two Queensland teams — and unfortunately they left us with as many questions as answers.
Nick Holman had 13 disposals and five tackles and seems assured of a Round 1 spot, Will Brodie was OK, Cameron Rayner improved significantly from his JLT1 return and cheap Lions defender Jack Payne didn’t help his chances with just four touches.
And we’ll give Allen Christensen the benefit of the doubt in saying the conditions didn’t suit him after he finished with just 46 points.
