Adelaide will enter next week’s AFL Draft with three picks inside the top-25 after a three-way pick swap with Fremantle and Melbourne

Crows list boss Justin Reid handed over picks 28, 48 and 2020 fourth-round selection (via Carlton) in return for the Dockers’ pick No. 22 and a 2020 third-round call (via Collingwood).

Fremantle then handed No. 28, the future fourth-round pick and its own pick No. 10 to Melbourne in exchange for the No. 8 selection

“We weren’t going to use pick 49 on the night so it was great we could improve our draft position in 2019 and 2020,” Reid told the club’s website.

“We’re really well placed to add elite young talent to our list for next season with pick 6 and three second round selections, including those two early in the second round.

“It’s a really exciting time for the footy club.”

The deal follows a trade with GWS on Tuesday which saw the Crows drop back two spots in this year’s order in exchange for the Giants’ first pick in 2020.

As it stands, Adelaide holds picks 6, 22, 23, 37 and 45.

The Crows have been strongly linked to Norwood midfielder Dylan Stephens and Victorian key defender Fischer McAsey at No. 6, while Glenelg premiership defender Will Gould might come into their thinking with one of the two picks in the 20s.
