AFL tipping 2017: Herald Sun expert tips for Round 4

IT was a nightmare for tipsters last week, but a group of four experts have pinched a small break on the pack. Can anyone tip nine winners this weekend?

IT was a nightmare for tipsters last weekend — dubbed ‘Egg-On-Your-Face’ round by our SuperFooty podcast members.

There were plenty of threes and fours from the nine matches, but a small breakaway has formed after each tipped five winners from a round of upsets.

Trent Cotchin is among the leaders (on 18 from three rounds), the Tigers skipper joined by Mark Robinson, Mick Warner and Rebecca Williams.

Gerard Whateley tipped six winners — the most of our experts — to give him a share of second place.

Three finalists from last year might well be 0-4 after the first month. Who would have believed it?

The two sides might be on very different sides of the ledger when it comes to results this year but expect Monday to be another close one between the long time rivals. Always one to settle in for.

Been a long time since the Cats would have been looking at the Easter Monday game as a percentage booster.

Richmond travels out of Victoria for the first time to meet a Brisbane side very different to last year and one that uses the ball better. It will make for a close one.

My one certainty for this round is unfortunately Crows against Essendon. Adelaide is shaping as the team to beat this season and at home almost impossible.

Pies to get their season back on track by knocking off the Saints.

Surely Hawthorn find something. Geelong is not going as well as its ladder position suggests.

GWS to continue its strong dominance playing in the capital and have a good win over Port.

It is a big week for the big clubs like Swans and Hawks who do not have a win yet.
