St Kilda and Hawthorn will open the 2020 pre-season competition on February 20.
The AFL today released the fixture for its official practice matches. The competition will be known as the Marsh Community Series after insurance giant Marsh took over JLT Group earlier this year.
Saints fans will get their first look at a new-look team that could feature recruits Brad Hill, Zak Jones, Dougal Howard, Paddy Ryder and Dan Butler at the club’s traditional home ground Moorabbin on a Thursday night.
It will be the first game at the venue, now known as RSEA Oval, in more than 25 years.
The first round of matches is spread over the last two weekends in February, with the final round played on the first weekend in March.
Highlights include a Grand Final rematch between Richmond and GWS in Wagga, while Essendon gets a chance to gain revenge for its elimination final loss to West Coast when it faces the Eagles — and star recruit Tim Kelly — in Perth.
The full 2020 AFL fixture will be released on Thursday, following tomorrow’s release of the 2020 AFLW fixture.
