The Adelaide Crows will not have a senior assistant coach to new mentor Matthew Nicks for 2020.
Crows football director Mark Ricciuto confirmed the decision on Triple M Adelaide on Tuesday morning and also addressed the Head of Leadership and Culture position.
“The leadership and culture role hasn’t been picked yet because they want to give the (yet to be employed) football manager a say in that,” he said.
“Senior assistant role, there isn’t gonna be one, Matty Nicks wants to have less voices and give the line coaches more of an opportunity to play a bit more of a dominant role this year.
“So they’re going with less voices this year.”
