HE has romanced Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts and Melbourne model Monika Clarke, but it seems Hawthorn's Josh Gibson may have finally met his match in pro surfer Sally Fitzgibbons.
Gibson turned up on the arm of Ben Stratton to football's night of nights, admitting he had been left stranded by the new love of his life.
"My date is overseas, looking cute," he laughed.
Fitzgibbons flew to Hawaii on the weekend for a tournament, missing the Brownlow count.
Gibson took Fitzgibbons as his date to the All-Australian presentation night, and raised eyebrows when he said they were "good friends".
When asked, "So Sally and you are an item?" on the blue carpet, Gibson turned shy and replied, "Oh, how did you hear that? You've got me cornered!"
