Getting drafted is good for business, just ask exciting Fremantle Dockers recruits Liam Henry and Isaiah Butters.

The proud indigenous young footballers have not only had Dockers commitments to get their heads around in recent days but also their now booming side hustle, an online shop selling ties, aptly named Tied To Culture.

Just hours after the Dockers plucked Henry with pick No. 9 in the national draft the striking indigenous art-inspired ties sold out.

But within 24 hours, with Henry’s friend and business partner Butters taken by the Dockers in the rookie draft, Tied To Culture was back in business with three of the $35 ties available on pre-order, with a 3-4 week expected delivery time.

$1 from every Aboriginal Australia, blue, purple and pink ties bought goes towards selected charities including the Cancer Council and Beyond Blue.

Butters said joining Henry at Freo is a natural next step in their friendship.

“Liam’s someone who, when he really puts his mind to something, he keeps going that way,” Butters told the club’s website.

“He’s a good bloke, we’ve played club footy at Claremont and school footy over the years.

“(Playing together at Fremantle) that’s just another part of the story. I’ve been playing footy with him since year eight.

“That would be something bigger and more special I reckon.”
