SUNDAY TEAMS UPDATE: SYDNEY will welcome back Jarrad McVeigh for Sunday’s clash against Fremantle at Subiaco after the co-captain was passed fit after tweaking his groin at training last week.

McVeigh is one of two changes for the Swans, with ruckman Toby Nankervis recalled to help shoulder the ruck duties with Sam Naismith following the knee injury to Callum Sinclair.

FREMANTLE has made four changes for Matthew Pavlich’s 350th career game, with the veteran forward named to play the milestone in front of his home crowd.

Defender Alex Silvagni returns from injury to bolster the backline, while Tendai Mzungu has been dropped.

ESSENDON has recalled former Swan Craig Bird for its clash against Adelaide at Adelaide Oval to fill the void of senior top-up James Kelly who has been rested.

WESTERN Bulldogs have been hit further by injuries with key players including Matthew Boyd to miss Friday night’s clash against Geelong.

Boyd (Achilles) is one of fives outs for the Bulldogs alongside long-term victims Mitch Wallis (broken leg) and Jack Redpath (ACL), while Matthew Suckling is also out with an Achilles injury and Dale Morris has failed to come up with a hamstring complaint.

The good news for the injury-hit Dogs is, however, that forward Jake Stringer and Luke Dahlhaus are back to face the Cats at Etihad Stadium.

GWS has been bolstered by the inclusion of gun midfielder Ryan Giffen after three weeks on the sidelines for its clash against Richmond in Canberra on Saturday.

THE TIGERS will welcome back Bachar Houli from a serious wrist injury and will debut rookie Adam Marcon but have dropped forward Liam McBean and Ben Griffiths is injured.

COLLINGWOOD has lost forward Alex Fasolo to a shoulder injury for the third time since Round 10 and Jarryd Blair is out with a groin injury.

The Pies will debut strongly-built midfielder Rupert Wills, while Jordan De Goey has earned a recall.

Key forward Travis Cloke has retained his spot in the side despite struggling against the Kangaroos last weekend but Ben Sinclair will miss with another concussion.

Coach Nathan Buckley says the Pies haven’t drawn a line through Sinclair for the year despite his fourth concussion this season.

“He loves his footy, he wants to continue but his health and wellbeing will be the absolute priority,” he said.

“He’s still keen to play later in the year and we’ll make that judgment call when we get there.”

NORTH Melbourne has been boosted by the inclusion of Jarrad Waite for its crunch clash against in-form St Kilda — and Brent Harvey’s record breaker — at the expense of Majak Daw.

BRISBANE Lions have rested young key forward Josh Schache and ruckman Stefan Martin but have brought back Lewis Taylor for its clash against Port Adelaide on Saturday night, while Jay Schulz has been dropped by Ken Hinkley.
