AFL Draft 2023: SuperCoach scores from Week 2 of the Under-18 National Championships

A father-son prospect who is not eligible to be drafted until 2024 has lit up Vic Metro’s first match of the under-18 national championships.
Levi Ashcroft, who is the younger brother of first-year Brisbane Lions midfielder Will Ashcroft, outshone many of his older teammates and opponents as he finished as the top-ranked player in Vic Metro’s opening match against South Australia on Sunday.
Playing through the midfield, Ashcroft racked up 32 disposals, three marks, three clearances, one goal and one score assist to help his side to a 68-point win over South Australia.

Many believe that Ashcroft is more progressed at this stage of his career than his brother Will, who was selected as a father-son by the Lions with pick 2 in last year’s national draft, and is one of the favourites to win the AFL Rising Star award this year.
The brothers are the sons of three-time Brisbane Lions premiership player Marcus Ashcroft.
Top-five draft prospect Nick Watson also impressed with 14 disposals and four goals for Vic Metro, as did Western Bulldogs father-son prospect Jordan Croft (10 disposals, three goals).
Luca Slade (19 disposals, four clearances, one goal) was the top-ranked player for South Australia, while fellow midfielder Sid Draper was the leading possession winner for the side with 27 disposals.
Also on Sunday, the Allies scored a thumping 88-point win over Western Australia.
Midfielder Colby McKercher continued to push his case as a top-five draft prospect with 40 disposals for the Allies, while inside bull Ryley Sanders (39 disposals, one goal) was also prominent on the stats sheet.
Western Australia key defender Daniel Curtin was the top-ranked player for his side with 18 disposals and eight marks.
