RUMOURS Bryce Gibbs is set to walk out on Carlton mid-contract to return to Adelaide have been rejected by his management.

The whisper has circled in recent days and gained further steam on Thursday with a report that the Carlton star’s management team had been in secret talks with the Crows.

TRADEHQ: LATEST NEWS AND WHISPERS

Gibbs camp has flatly denied any contact with Adelaide.

The Crows also responded to the rumours today with a spokesman saying: “We don’t have any comment to make on trade rumours or innuendo.”

Gibbs has three years to run on his lucrative contract at Carlton believed to be worth about $600,000 a season.

The 27-year-old is understood to have rejected advances from Adelaide and Port Adelaide in 2013 before re-signing with the Blues.

Gibbs, a veteran of 209 AFL games who won Carlton’s club champion award in 2014, is the latest high-profile midfielder with rumoured links to the Crows. Brisbane captain Tom Rockliff and Port Adelaide’s Hamish Hartlett are others while the Crows have denied rumours they offered a deal to Richmond ace Dustin Martin.
