MELBOURNE WAGs have been scrambling to find Brownlow dresses after their invitation to footy's night of nights got lost in the post.

Jack Watts' girlfriend Madelaine Begala said she and the other Demon girlfriends were told just last week they would walk the blue carpet on Monday night.

"I couldn't believe it because we didn't think we were going to go. But luckily I don't stress about these things too much and I have found the perfect dress," Begala said at the Melbourne Football Club best and fairest at Crown Palladium last night.

New coach Mark Neeld and wife Sarah Teague said they too had been given a week's notice, as he had only just got the job.
