There’s always a path to strike gold when Brownlow Medal night arrives. We’ve got you covered with the best bets and the upsets that could make you plenty of money on Monday night.
Last year we struck gold in the club-by-club Brownlow Medal betting and turned a 13-unit outlay into a 17.3-unit profit.
We found nuggets in then-Tiger Shai Bolton ($5) who tied with Tim Taranto; Brisbane Lion Dayne Zorko ($6) who tied with Hugh McCluggage in a market without Lachie Neale; North Melbourne’s Luke Davies-Uniacke ($2 fav); Melbourne’s Christian Petracca ($6) who upset Max Gawn ($1.10) and we picked Patrick Cripps ($2.40) to win the medal.

Dawson has polled 20 and 18 votes in each of the past two seasons. His Crows won 18 games, he won’t have midfield teammates pinching loads of votes off him and he kicked 17 goals (career-high).

THE FORMULA
The Herald Sun’s Player of the Year award was decided on 3-2-1 votes from each of the 207 home-and-away games.
Champion Data used its player rankings to determine its 3-2-1 votes for each match. It also took into account the winning team and a player’s voting history.
