Brisbane Lions coach Michael Voss is positive Jonathan Brown will be fit to face Port Adelaide

BRISBANE Lions coach Michael Voss is confident Jonathan Brown will be fit to face Port Adelaide in a must-win clash at AAMI Stadium.

BRISBANE Lions are confident captain Jonathan Brown will take his place in the must win clash with Port Adelaide at AAMI stadium on Sunday.

Brown missed the Lions' 19-point win over Melbourne in Darwin on the weekend with a hip injury.

Coach Michael Voss said veteran Simon Black would be unavailable, but he was confident Brown would play and would give the key forward until Saturday to prove his fitness.

“Browney’s tracking along pretty well, it’s just a matter of it settling down. We’ve got a six day break so we’ll see how the week progresses,” Voss said.

In more good news midfielder Brent Moloney  will return for his first game since the QClash victory over Gold Coast after overcoming a calf injury and defender Mitch Golby, who was a late withdrawal against Melbourne, is also available for selection.
