COLLINGWOOD recruiting boss Derek Hine says it is highly unlikely Tom Rockliff will be at the Pies next year.

The Brisbane captain had been linked to Collingwood earlier this week with his time at the Lions seemingly over.

However, after signing midfielder Daniel Wells, Hine believes adding Rockliff was a longshot.

“Tom, he has been in our discussions but it highly unlikely we will go down that road at this point in time,” Hine said on SEN radio.

DAY TWO: RECAP ALL THE BIG MOVES FROM TRADE PERIOD

“There are numerous players that come up in discussions. Again, Tom is just one of about another half a dozen that have come up through those discussions.”

Rockliff is set to meet with newly appointed Brisbane coach Chris Fagan today to discuss his future.

Meanwhile, the Pies remain confident of adding Fremantle forward Chris Mayne.

“It is well documented that we are talking to Chris and his management,” Hine said.

“We are just working through a few things there in terms of how we will approach that. We certainly have a strong interest in Chris.”

Travis Cloke’s move to the Western Bulldogs is all but assured.

Hine said the two clubs would agree on a deal once it was clear which draft picks the Bulldogs had.

“There won’t be any real hold up. I know that Jason (McCartney, list manager) and the boys at the Western Bulldogs are off doing a few things.

TRADE TALK DAY 3 LIVE COVERAGE

“We aren’t going to be silly about it. We have had a really strong relationship with the Western Bulldogs. I wouldn’t have thought there would be any hold up.”

The Pies will work closely with Brisbane to send Jack Frost to the Lions.

Frost was offered a three year deal to head north last week.

The futures of Marley Williams and Nathan Brown will be decided in the coming days.
